Laklinskaya Cave
It is located on the steep right side of Lakli Creek, 1.3 km west of Lakli village. It is located in the slope of Lakly-Tau mountain.
It is the largest cave in the northeastern part of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is formed in the Lower carboniferous bituminous limestones of the Visean stage, which are 325 million years old.
The Laklin cave impresses with the huge volumes of its halls, which can only be illuminated by powerful lanterns. At the same time, the cave is easily accessible all year round. It has a total length of 321 m, an average width of 19.5 m, a height of 5 m, and an area of 5288 sq.m. The entrance to the cave is located at an altitude of 34 m above the level of the Lakla stream.
Immediately from the entrance, a steep descent begins at an angle of 30 degrees to a depth of 14 meters. You need to descend carefully so as not to slip or fall. It is especially slippery here in winter and spring. Due to the peculiarities of the cave entrance, cold air flows down and stagnates there, so it is cold all year round.
After descending, you will find yourself in a huge Lobby hall. Its dimensions are amazing: length - 105 meters, width - up to 45 meters, and height - 19 meters. There are boulders on the floor, and ice is found in places in the cave.
There is a narrow and short passage in the northeastern part of the hall. But in the northern part of the hall, the gallery leads through 80 meters to another hall measuring 20-25 meters. You can see beautiful streaks in it.
Another 40-meter-long gallery leads to the third (and last) hall of the Laklin Cave. Its dimensions are 50 by 28 meters, and its height is up to 13 meters. The main "highlight" of this grotto is a two–stage calcite deposit resembling a frozen waterfall. There are also small stalactites here.
There is a karst well at the southern end of the cave. It is about 3 m deep and 2.5 m in diameter. At the bottom of the well, water is visible, slowly flowing north, parallel to the Lakli River. There are several tube-shaped holes in the wall of the northern part of the cave, rising steeply upwards. Through them, water enters the cave in the spring, bringing with it a lot of clay material. The water leaves the cave through crevices and karst wells to the lower floor of the dungeon, which, apparently, is located at the Lakla River level. This is evidenced by numerous springs flowing out of the mountain slightly below the cavity.
In the northern part of the cave there are many small calcite stalactites and stalagmites, calcareous crusts, curtains, large (up to 2 cm) and small (up to 0.5 cm) rounded formations.
