The uniqueness of the geopark

The area of 1,774 square kilometers has everything that the Southern Urals is loved for: picturesque mountains with dense forests, high cliffs and cliffs with mysterious caves (more than 80), some of them have rock carvings of ancient people, many rivers and crystal clear springs. There are also special places here: geothermal springs of natural steam on Yangantau Mountain, which gave their name to the geopark and the famous health resort, sulfur springs with therapeutic mud, reference geological sections with fossilized remains of ancient flora and fauna, which are 250-300 million years old.

Multinationality

Bashkirs, Tatars, Russians and many other peoples live here in peace and harmony. They have well preserved their traditions and customs. They are happy to show them to the guests, the locals are distinguished by their hospitality.

Heritage

There are more than 40 archaeological sites, half of which date back to the Stone Age, one medieval settlement, and mounds that give us an idea of what the ancient inhabitants of the Urals looked like and did.
All of the above is located in an ecologically clean area.

The place that gives birth to batyrs

The homeland of the national hero of the Bashkir people, the warrior-poet, fighter for justice — Salavat Yulaev. There is a museum named after him on the territory of the geopark, and the historical and cultural complex "Salauat-Yere" was built on the site of his native village of Tekeevo.

Rich flora and fauna

There are no factories and plants polluting the land and water. Thanks to this, the geopark is rich in 78 species of animals and plants listed in the Red Book, and includes more than 9 natural monuments.
