Kuselyarovo sulfur springs
Ascending mineral springs of the Kutkantau group of springs. It is represented by a series (about 10) hydrogen sulfide springs. They are located on the left slope of the Yuryuzan River valley, between the Idelbaevo 2nd and Kuselyarovo Salavatsky district.
The landscapes in the vicinity of Kuselyarovo village are represented by mixed forests and settled meadows. All the springs are located near Mount Kutkantau, an anticlinal structure with natural asphalt.
1.5 km west of the village. Kuselyarovo, under the slope of Kutkantau, there is the 1st group of mineral springs, which represent a natural outlet of water 25 m from the river; 650 m to the west of it is the Sour spring (diameter of the funnel is 4.5 m, depth is 1.0 m).
Near the village of Kuselyarovo, on the upper floodplain terrace of the river, there is a 2nd, borehole, group of springs. Hydro-geological natural monument of the Republic of Bashkortostan (1965). They are formed in limestones of the Artinsky stage of the lower Permian. In some springs, precipitation of native sulfur on pebbles is observed.

Source Group

Water composition and temperature:
  • At the outlet of the Sour spring, mineral mud is deposited (powerful up to 1 m). Flow rate (l/s): Group 1 0.5—2.0, total up to 60; Sour source 10-12;
  • Group 1 water and slightly mineralized Acid source (0.6—0.9 g/l), bicarbonate-sulfate-chloride, bicarbonate-chloride, magnesium-sodium-calcium and magnesium—calcium; contains trace elements (mg/l): bromine (0.42—0.99), boron (0.05-0.40), fluorine (0.01—1.00), iodine (0.004—0.025); oxygen and hydrogen sulfide by gas composition;
  • The water temperature of the 1st group is 8.5—18.0 °C, the Sour spring is 20-21 °C (the warmest in the Republic of Belarus).
  • The debit of the 2nd group is 0.7—8.0, the total is 20-23. Water contains cations (mg/l): sodium (130), calcium (124), magnesium (44), sulfate (243), bicarbonate (229), chloride (227) ions.
  • The water of the 2nd group of sources is slightly mineralized (approx. 1 g / l), bicarbonate, sodium-calcium, radon, contains helium (45-593 × 105 ml /l), radon (0.14-1.10)× 105 Bq/m3; hydrogen sulfide in gas composition.
  • The water temperature of the 2nd group is 9.5—17.8 °C.
