The Yangan-Tau Geopark continues to expand its paleontological collection, which includes the remains of megafauna, thanks to gifts made by local residents.
In August, the guys from the village of Elanysh - Fedorov Egor, Gladkikh Roman and Burylov Yan - presented the geopark with the tibia bone of the Mammuthus primigenius mammoth, which they found on the Ai River near the village.
Earlier, in July, a resident of the village of Mammuthus primigenius was found on the Ai River near the Lagerevo village Mindibaeva Gulfiya, a former biology teacher at school, handed over to the geopark a tusk of Mammuthus primigenius mammoth and a horn fragment of a big-eared deer Megaloceros giganteus, which were found on the outskirts of the village on the Ai River.
All paleontological gifts of the local residents, as well as the findings made by biologists of the geopark, will be exhibited in the visit-center of the Yangan-Tau Geopark, where everyone can see them.
