The Fund of Wild Animals Protection, established in Bashkortostan by the famous writer and traveler Kamil Ziganshin and his wife Tatyana, has determined the winners of the XVIII award Knight of the forest-2020.
This award is given to those who are engaged in the protection of wild animals and their habitat on duty or at the call of their heart. During the Foundation's existence, the Knight of the forest award has already been awarded to about 500 people who support nature conservation.
This year, 73 applications in 8 categories were sent to the Knight of the forest contest. The organizing Committee, after reviewing the received materials, awarded prizes to 42 participants.
In the category of Citizens dedicated to the protection of wild animals and their habitats on a voluntary basis on their own initiative the Diploma of the I-st degree was awarded the Scientific Director of the Yangan-Tau Geopark Larisa Belan; in the category of Officials, representatives of the legislative sphere, the staff of the municipalities at various levels, representatives of business, have made significant contributions to the protection and preservation of wild animals and their habitats the Diploma of the I-st degree received the inspirer of the creation of the Yangan-Tau Geopark, the Director of the Yangan-Tau Resort Alfred Akbashev.
