Authors and author's groups of pupils of 5-11 classes of secondary schools of the area, institutions of additional education of children were invited to participate in competition. The competition was held in order to develop patriotism of students of educational institutions of Salavat district and to foster a sense of pride in their small Homeland. The competition pursued the following objectives: to attract the attention of students to the natural, historical and cultural heritage of their small homeland; activation of educational and research activities of students in the framework of local history; stimulating the interest of students in practical activities for the organization of excursions; improving the methodology of research in the field of local history and excursion; combining the efforts of students and teachers to study the features of their small homeland.
In two age categories (3-7 and 8-11 grades) 26 students of Salavat district presented their works for the competition in 4 nominations. As members of the Jury were representatives of the Department of education Salavat district, the Museum of Salavat Yulaev and Geopark "Yangan-Tau". The guys who took first places will present Salavat district at the Republican contest "My small Homeland".
