Birds and glass

Over the problem of the death of birds from a collision with translucent structures around the world have been working for more than 20 years. Already invented many methods for the protection of birds from an invisible enemy - glazing. In particular, in Western Europe, all elements of glazing (large windows, glazed greenhouses, verandahs, noise screens and others), potentially dangerous to birds, cause silhouettes of birds of prey. In Switzerland, bird silhouettes are painted on the windows of cafes located on the banks of reservoirs, and in Germany even on glass stops. There are also special glasses with an ultraviolet pattern printed on them, which is invisible to the human eye, but noticeable to birds. A technology has been developed to repel birds with an acoustic method using replays of birds of prey reproduced by special devices. In some cases, trained feathered predators even take to the service, which is to drive away from the danger of other birds.
In order to reduce the number of bird victims in the Yangan-Tau sanatorium, silhouettes of birds of prey were pasted on the building of the health-improving complex.
