Another paleontological find in geopark

The estuary of the Ai River is full of remains of ancient animals that once lived in our region. Woolly rhinos, horses, mammoths are just a few species of mammals that lived in the quaternary period in the modern territory of "Yangan-Tau" Geopark. Not so long ago, a group of geopark biologists conducted an expedition rafting along the Ai River and discovered more than a dozen bones and bone fragments of rhinoceros and horse.
And on July 22, local resident of the village Lagerevo, a geo-guide of the geopark Rinat Sitdikov found the teeth of a mammoth. The bones were quite large, weighing just over 2 kg. At the moment the bones are cleaned and deposited in the school museum of the village of Lagerevo. I must say that the museum in Lagerovo has a rich collection and has repeatedly surprised guests with exhibits of the quaternary period.
